Our Factory History

1990–1999

Growth Stage: 1990–1999 From Family Workshop to Professional Factory

Entering the 1990s, as orders increased, Muxiang evolved from a family-style workshop into a professional pipe factory and established a more standardized production process.

We began to systematically divide the workflow into distinct steps: material selection, rough shaping, drilling, forming, sanding, and polishing, with each step handled by dedicated personnel to ensure more consistent quality.

2000–2009 Going Global

In the early 21st century, MUXIANG officially entered the global market, partnering with overseas distributors to bring Chinese handmade pipes to more countries.

In addition to upholding our commitment to handcrafting, we introduced more modern testing equipment to systematically check stem airways, airflow, and joint precision.

Most importantly, during this decade, we continuously expanded our material palette—from traditional briar to rosewood, bamboo knots, ebony, and other natural woods—to meet the personalized needs of different enthusiasts.

Rich product range

While providing OEM/ODM services to clients, we placed even greater emphasis on building our own brand, establishing the "MUXIANG" pipe brand.

We also launched various product series: the Classic Briar Series, Artistic Carving Series, Beginner Enthusiast Series, and limited-edition handmade pipes specially crafted for pipe aficionados.
